Then saith the woman of Samaria unto Him, How is it that Thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. |
Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. |
The Samaritan woman therefore said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) |
The Samaritan woman said to Him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can You ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans – or, do not use dishes Samaritans have used.) |
The Samaritan woman said to Him, How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me a Samaritan and a woman, for a drink? – For the Jews have nothing to do with the Samaritans – |
The Samaritan woman then says to Him, How is it that You being a Jew, are asking a drink from me, being a woman of Samaria, for Jews do not associate with Samaritans? |
The Samaritan woman said to Him, “How can You, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) |
So the Samaritan woman said to Him, “How is it that a Jew like You asks a Samaritan woman like me for a drink?” For Jews have nothing to do with Samaritans. |
Then 3767 saith 3004 the 3588 woman 1135 of Samaria 4542 unto Him, 846 How 4459 is it that Thou, 4771 being 5607 a Jew, 2453 askest 154 drink 4095 of 3844 me, 1700 which am 5607 a woman 1135 of Samaria? 4542 for 1063 the Jews 2453 have no 3756 dealings 4798 with the Samaritans. 4541 |
