King James Version
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
New King James Version
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
New American Standard Bible
So then, those who had received his words were baptized; and there were added that day about three thousand souls (i.e., persons).
New International Version
Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
The Amplified Bible
Therefore those who accepted and welcomed his message were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

Then those who received his word with approval were immersed. And there were added to their number on that day about three thousand souls.
