King James Version

But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
New King James Version

But Peter said to him, “Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!
New American Standard Bible

But Peter said to him, “May your silver perish with you because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!
New International Version

Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!
The Amplified Bible

But Peter said to him, Destruction overtake your money and you, because you imagined you could obtain the [free] gift of God with money!
Wuest’s Expanded Translation

But Peter said to him, May your money accompany you in your destruction, because the gift of God you thought to acquire with money.
Phillips’ Modern English

But Peter said to him, “To hell with you and your money! (This is really what the Greek says. It is a pity that modern English usage obscures the literal meaning.) How dare you think you could buy the gift of God for money!

But Peter said to him, “Your money go to perdition with you for even dreaming you could buy the gift of God with money!
