Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, |
Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all |
For this reason it is by faith, that it might be in accordance with grace, in order that the promise may be certain to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, |

Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring – not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. |
Therefore [inheriting] the promise is the outcome of faith and depends [entirely] on faith, in order that it might be given as an act of grace (unmerited favor), to make it stable and valid and guaranteed to all his descendents of the Law, but also to those who share the faith of Abraham, who is [thus] the father of us all. |
On account of this it is by faith, in order that it might be by grace, to the end that the promise might be something realized by the offspring, not by that which is of the law only, but also by that which is of the faith of Abraham who is the father of all of us; |

The whole thing, then, is a matter of faith on man’s part and generosity on God’s. He gives the security of His own promise to all men who can be called “children of Abraham,” |
So it is condition on faith, that it might be in accordance with God’s unmerited favor, so that the promise might be in force for all the descendants of Abraham, not only for those who belong to the law party but also for those who belongs to the faith group of Abraham. He is the father of us all, |
