Hebrews 4:2

Greek/English Interlinear with Strong’s Numbers
Heb. 4 - Greek/English/Strong’s Interlinear

King James Version

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
New King James Version

For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
New American Standard Bible

For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard (of hearing) did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard.
New International Version

For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith (many, because they did not share in the fait of those who obeyed).
The Amplified Bible

For indeed we have had the glad tidings [Gospel of God] proclaimed to us just as truly as they [the Israelites of old did when the good news of deliverance from bondage came to them]; but the message they heard did not benefit them, because it was not mixed with faith (with the leaning of the entire personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) by those who heard it; neither were they united in faith with the ones [Joshua and Caleb] who heard (did believe).
Wuest’s Expanded Translation

For, as for us also, to us [first-century Jews] was the good news [of rest in Messiah] thoroughly proclaimed, with the present result that we have it indelibly impressed on our minds, as well as the good news [of rest in Canaan] thoroughly proclaimed to them [the generation which came out of Egypt], good news that was indelibly impressed on their minds. But the word of the report did not profit them, not having become mixed together with faith in the case of those who heard.
Phillips’ Modern English

For we too have had a gospel preached to us, as those men had. Yet the message proclaimed to them did them no good, because they only heard and did not believe as well.
Williams’ Language of the People

For we have had the good news told to us as well as they, but the message heard did them no good, because they were not by faith made one with those who heeded it.
KJV with Strong’s Numbers

For 1063 unto us 2532 was the gospel 2097 preached, 2070 as well as 2509 unto them: 2548 but 235 the 3588 word 3056 preached 189 did not 3756 profit 5623 them, 1565 not 3361 being mixed with 4786 faith 4102 in them that heard it. 191
