James 5:11

Greek/English Interlinear with Strongs Numbers
Jas. 5 - Greek/English/Strong’s Interlinear

King James Version

Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
New King James Version

Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord – that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.
New American Standard Bible

Behold, we count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings (end of the Lord), that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful.
New International Version

As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about.
The Amplified Bible

You know how we call those blessed (happy) who were steadfast [who endured]. You have heard of the endurance of Job, and you have seen the Lord’s [purpose and how He richly blessed him in the] end, inasmuch as the Lord is full of pity and compassion and tenderness and mercy.
Wuest’s Expanded Translation

Put your thought upon this. We consider those who patiently remain under their trials spiritually prosperous and fortunate. You heard of the patience of Job, how he patiently remained under the trials to which he was subjected, and you saw the consummation [of those trials] brought about by the Lord, that the Lord is compassionate and merciful.
Phillips’ Modern English

Remember that it is usually those who have patiently endured to whom we accord the word “blessed.” You have heard of Job’s patient endurance and how God dealt with him in the end, and therefore you have seen that the Lord is merciful and full of understanding pity for us men.
Williams’ Language of the People

See how we call those who thus endured happy! You have heard how patiently Job endured and have seen how the Lord finally blessed him, because the Lord is tenderhearted and merciful.
KJV with Strong’s Numbers

Behold, 2400 we count them happy 3106 which endure. 5278 Ye have heard 191 of the 3588 patience 5281 of Job, 2492 and 2532 have seen 1492 the 3588 end 5056 of the Lord; 2962 that 3754 the 3588 Lord 2962 is 2076 very pitiful, 4184 and 2532 of tender mercy. 3629
