And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. |

For the substance (essence) of the truth revealed by Jesus is the spirit of all prophecy [the vital breath, the inspiration of all inspired preaching and interpretation of the divine will and purpose, including both mine and yours]. |

Worship God. For the testimony of [concerning] Jesus is the spirit [the disposition or characteristic[ of prophecy [the forth-telling of God’s word]. |

At that I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “No! I am your fellow-servant and fellow-servant with your brothers who are holding fast their witness to Jesus. Give your worship to God!” (This witness to Jesus inspires all prophecy.) |
Then I fell before his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must take care not to do that. I am only a fellow-slave of yours and of your brothers who hold to the testimony borne by Jesus: Worship God. For the testimony borne by Jesus is the inspiring spirit of prophecy.” |
