Exodus 17:16

King James Version
For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
New King James Version
For he said, “Because the LORD has sworn: the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”
New American Standard Bible
and he said, “The LORD has sworn; the LORD will have war against Amalek from generation to generation.”
New International Version
He said, “For hands were lifted up to the throne of the LORD. (or, “Because a hand was against the throne of the LORD,) The LORD will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation.”
The Amplified Bible
And he said, Because theirs is a hand against the throne of the Lord, the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
