1 Samuel 4:21

King James Version

And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband.
New King James Version

Then she named the child Ichabod (literally, Inglorious), saying, “The glory has departed from Israel!” because the ark of God had been captured and because of her father-in-law and her husband.
New American Standard Bible

And she called the boy Ichabod (i.e., no glory), saying, “The glory has departed from Israel,” because the ark of God was taken and because of her father-in-law and her husband.
New International Version

She named the boy Ichabod (no glory), saying, “The glory has departed from Israel” – because of the capture of the ark of “God and the deaths of her father-in-law and her husband.
The Amplified Bible

And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel! – because he ark of God had been captured and because of her father-in-law and her husband.
