And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. |
and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part form the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. |

And if anyone cancels or takes away from the statements of the book of this prophecy [these predictions relating to Christ’s kingdom and its speedy triumph, together with the consolations and admonitions or warnings pertaining to them], God will cancel and take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the city of holiness (purity and hallowedness), which are described and promised in this book. |
And if anyone shall take away from the words of the scroll of [containing] this prophecy, God shall take away his portion from the tree of the life and from the holy city, from the thigns which stand written in this scroll. |
