1 Corinthians 4:8

Greek/English Interlinear with Strong’s Numbers

King James Version

Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.
New King James Version

You are already full! You are already rich! You have reigned as kings without us – and indeed I could wish you did reign, that we also might reign with you!
New American Standard Bible

You are already filled, you have already become rich, you have become kings without us; and I would indeed that you had become kings so that we might also reign with you.
New International Version

Already you have all you want! Already you have become rich! You have become kings – and that without us! How I wish that you really had become kings so that we might be kings so that we might be kings with you!
The Amplified Bible

[You behave as if] you are already filled and think you have enough – you are full and content, feeling no need of anything more! Already you have become rich (in spiritual gifts and graces)! [Without any counsel or instruction from us, that is, in your conceit], you have ascended your thrones and come into your kingdom without including us! And would that it were true and that you did reign, so that we might be sharing the kingdom with you!
Wuest’s Expanded Translation

Already have you become completely satiated with the result that your state of complete satisfaction persists through present time? Already did you become wealthy? Without us did you enter that new state of being in which you reign as kings? However, I wish indeed that you did reign as kings, in order that, as for us also, we might reign as kings with you,
Phillips’ Modern English

Oh, I know you are rich and flourishing! You’ve been living like kings, haven’t you, while we’ve been away? I would to God you were really kings in God’s sight so that we might reign with you!
Williams’ Language of the People

Are you satisfied already? Have you grown rich already? Have you ascended your thrones without us to join you? Yes, I could wish that you had ascended your thrones, that we too might join you on them!
