A restlessness stirs within me. The fire seems almost gone.
Where once we turned to God above, again we walk alone.
History repeats itself for those who never learn.
God is calling out to us simply to return
To purity, honesty, humility and love, justice, mercy, the grace of God above.
Forsake your greed, admit your need, seek the face of God,
The holy One, the righteous One, the Savior of mankind.
Turn to Him, trust in Him, believe in His name,
The name above all names to which every knee shall bow.
Jesus Christ, the First and Last, the Lamb that was slain.
Listen to His Spirit, believe and be saved.
America, the beautiful, built in God’s grand design
Of liberty, equality, peace among mankind.
She turned her back on God above, never knowing why
Poverty and lawlessness grow as more men die.
God has judged our land for years but no one calls on His name.
With pride in our abundance, we leisurely add to our shame,
Committing the sins of Sodom1,
Going in the way of Cain2,
