Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. |
However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.” |
And He did not let him, but He said to him, “Go home to your people and report to them what great things (or, everything that) the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you.” |
Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how He has had mercy on you.” |
But Jesus refused to permit him, but said to him, Go home to your own [family and relatives and friends] and bring back word to them of how much the Lord has done for you, and [how He has] had sympathy for you and mercy on you. |
And He did not permit him, but says to him, Be going into your home, to your own relatives, and bring back tidings to them of such great things which the Lord has done for you, and of the fact that He had a sympathy for you which issued in action in your behalf. |
But Jesus would not allow this. “Go home to your own people,” He told him, “and tell them what the Lord has done for you, and how kind He has been to you!” |
However, He would not let him, but said to him, “Go home to your folks, and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and has taken pity on you.” |
