And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. |
and he will answer from within and say, ‘Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you’? |
and from inside he shall answer and say, ‘Do not bother me; the door has already been shut and my children and I are in bed; I cannot get up and give him as much as he needs. |
“Then the one inside answers, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed. I can’t get up and give you anything.’ |
And he from within will answer, Do not disturb me; the door is now closed, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot get up and supply you [with anything]? |
And that one from within, answering shall say, Stop furnishing me with troubles. Already my door has been closed with the result that it is shut for the night, and my children are with me in our bed. I am not able to get up and give to you. |
and then he answers from the inside the house, ‘Don’t bother me with your troubles. The front door is locked and my children and I have gone to bed. I simply cannot get up now and give you anything!’ |
And suppose he answers from inside, ‘Stop bothering me; the door is now locked, and my children are packed about me in bed; I cannot get up and give you any.’ |
