They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet. |
They answered and said to him, “Are you also from Galilee? Search and look, for no prophet has arisen out of Galilee.” |
They answered and said to him, “You are not also from Galilee, are you? Search, and see that no prophet arises out of Galilee.” |
They replied, “Are you from Galilee too? Look into it, and you will find that a prophet (some, the Prophet) does not come out of Galilee.” |
They answered him, Are you too from Galilee? Search [the Scriptures yourself], and you will see that no prophet comes (will rise to prominence) from Galilee. |
They answered and said to him, As for you, you are not also out of Galilee, are you? Search and see that out of Galilee a prophet does not arise. |
“Are you a Galilean, too?” they retorted. “Look where you will – you won’t find that any prophet comes out of Galilee!” |
Then they answered him, “You are not from Galilee, too, are you? Search the record and see that no prophet has ever come from Galilee!” |
They answered 611 and 2532 said 2036 unto him, 846 Art 1488 - 3361 thou 4771 also 2532 of 1537 Galilee? 1056 Search, 2045 and 2532 look: 1492 for 3754 out of 1537 Galilee 1056 ariseth 1453 no 3756 prophet. 4396 |
