Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: |
But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, |
But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For they are not all Israel of who are descended from Israel; |
It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. |
However, it is not as though God’s Word had failed [coming to nothing]. For it is not everybody who is a descendant of Jacob (Israel) who belongs to [the true] Israel. |
But the case is not such as this, that the word of God is fallen powerless, for not all who are out of Israel, these are Israel, |
Now this does not mean that God’s word to Israel has failed. For you cannot count all “Israelites” as the true Israel of God. |
But it is not that God’s word has failed. For not everybody that is descended from Israel really belongs to Israel, |
