Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the ekklesia. |
Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the ekklesia that you seek to excel. |
So also you, since you are zealous of spiritual gifts (spirits), seek to abound for the edification of the ekklesia. |
so it is with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, try to excel in gifts that build up the ekklesia. |
So it is with yourselves; since you are so eager and ambitious to possess spiritual endowments and manifestations of the [Holy] Spirit, [concentrate on] striving to excel and to abound [in them] in ways that will build the ekklesia. |
Thus also, as for yourselves, since you are those who are most eagerly desirous of spirits , [spiritual powers], be desiring them in order that you may abound in them with a view to building up the local assembly. |
So with yourselves, since you are so eager to possess spiritual gifts, concentrate your ambition upon receiving those which make for the real growth of your ekklesia. |
So, as you are ambitious for spiritual gifts, you must keep trying to excel for the upbuilding of the ekklesia. |
