But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry; |
But refuse the younger widows; for when they have begun to grow wanton against Christ, they desire to marry, |
But refuse to put younger widows on the list, for when they feel sensual desires in disregard of Christ, they want to get married, |
As for younger widows, do not put them on such a list. For when their sensual desires overcome their dedication to Christ, they want to marry. |
But refuse [to enroll on this list the] younger widows, for when they become restive and their natural desires grow strong, they withdraw themselves against Christ [and] wish to marry [again]. |
But younger widows refuse. For whenever they feel the impulses of sexual desire, thus becoming unruly with respect to Christ, they determine to marry, incurring [the reproachful] judgment [of their fellow Christians] because they have nullified their first faith. |
3. Don’t put the younger widows on your list. My experience is that when their natural desires grow stronger than their spiritual devotion to Christ they want to marry again, thus proving themselves unfaithful to their first loyalty. |
Keep the young widows off this roll, for when they get to indulging their lower nature in opposition to /Christ, they want to marry, |
