King James Version

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on Him shall not be confounded.
New King James Version

Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”
New American Standard Bible

For this is contained in Scripture: “Behold I lay in Zion a choice stone, a precious corner stone. And he who believes in Him shall not be disappointed.
New International Version

For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.”
The Amplified Bible

For thus it stands in Scripture: Behold, I am laying in Zion a chosen (honored), pernicious chief Corner-stone, and he who believes in Him [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] shall never be disappointed or put to shame.
Wuest’s Expanded Translation

Because of this it is contained in scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a Stone, one chosen out, a Cornerstone, highly honored and precious, and the one who rests his faith on Him shall positively not be disappointed.
Phillips’ Modern English

There is a passage to this effect in scripture, and it runs like this: Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: And he that believeth on Him shall not be put to shame.

It must be so, because the Scriptures say: “Here now I lay in Zion a chosen stone, a costly cornerstone, and not a single one who puts his trust in Him will ever be put to shame.”
