Romans 5:15

Greek/English Interlinear with Strong’s Numbers

King James Version

But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
New King James Version

But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.
New American Standard Bible

But the free gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
New International Version

But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
The Amplified Bible

But God’s free gift is not at all to be compared to the trespass [His grace is out of all proportion to the fall of man]. For if many died through one man’s falling away (his lapse, his offense), much more profusely did God’s grace and the free gift [that comes] through the undeserved favor of the one Man Jesus Christ abound and overflow to and for [the benefit of] many.
Wuest’s Expanded Translation

But not as the transgression, thus also is the gratuitous favor. For since by the transgression of the one the many died, much more the grace of God and the gratuitous gift by grace which is of the one Man, Jesus Christ, to the many will abound.
Phillips’ Modern English

But the gift of God through Christ is a very different matter from the “account rendered” through the sin of Adam. For while as a result of theone man’s sin death by natural consequences became the common lot of men, it was by the generosity of God, the free giving of the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, that the love of God overflowed for the benefit of all men.
Williams’ Language of the People

But God’s free gift is not at all to be compared with the offense. For if by one man’s offense the whole race of men have died, to a much greater degree God’s favor and His gift imparted by His favor through the one man Jesus Christ, has overflowed for the whole race of men.
