1 Corinthians 4:5

Greek/English Interlinear with Strongís Numbers

King James Version

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
New King James Version

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each oneís praise will come from God.
New American Standard Bible

Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time (i.e., the appointed time of judgment), but wait until the Lord comes who will bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of menís hearts; and then each manís praise will come to him from God.
New International Version

Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of menís hearts. At that time e3ach will receive his praise from God.
The Amplified Bible

So do not make any hasty or premature judgments before the time when the Lord comes [again], for He will both bring to light the secret things that are (now hidden) in darkness, and disclose and expose the (secret) aims (motives and purposes) of hearts. Then every man will receive his (due) commendation from God.
Wuestís Expanded Translation

Wherefore, stop exercising censorious judgment with reference to anything before the epochal, strategic season, until the time whenever the Lord may come, who will both turn the light on the hidden things of the darkness and bring out into the open the counsels of the hearts. And then to each one there shall come his praise from God.
Phillipsí Modern English

The moral of this is that we should make no hasty or premature judgments. When the Lord comes He will bring into the light of day all that at present is hidden in darkness, and He will expose the secret motives of menís hearts. Then shall God Himself give each man his share of praise.
Williamsí Language of the People

So you must stop forming any premature judgments, but wait until the Lord shall come again; for He will bring to light the secrets hidden in the dark and will make known the motives of menís hearts, and the proper praise will be awarded each of us.
