For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. |
Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. |
Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day, |
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. |
Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day. |
Wherefore, we are not losing courage. But and if, as is the case, our outward self is progressively decaying, yet our inward self is being changed into a new kind of life [fit for the new spiritual existence into which we have been ushered in salvation, and constantly being conformed to the image of the Lord Jesus] day by day. |
This is the reason why we never lose heart. The outward man does indeed suffer wear and tear, but every day the inward man receives fresh strength. |
So I never give up; instead, although my outer nature is wasting way, my inner nature is constantly renewed from day to day. |
