2 Corinthians 12:14

Greek/English Interlinear with Strong’s Numbers

King James Version

Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
New King James Version

Now for the third time I am ready to come to you. And I will not be burdensome to you; for I do not seek yours, but you. For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
New American Standard Bible

Here for this third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be a burden to you; for I do not seek what is yours, but you; for children are not responsible to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.
New International Version

Now I am ready to visit you for the third time, and I will not be a burden to you, because what I want is not your possessions but you. After all, children should not have to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.
The Amplified Bible

Now for the third time I am ready to come to [visit] you. And I will not burden you [financially], for it is not yours that I want but you; for children are not duty bound to lay up store for their parents, but parents for their children.
Wuest’s Expanded Translation

Look! This is a third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be a burden to you, for I am not seeking your possessions but you. For the children are under no moral obligation to be accumulating material resources for the parents, but the parents for the children.
Phillips’ Modern English

Now I am all ready to visit you for the third time, and I am still not going to be a burden to you. It is you I want – not your money. Children don’t have to put by their savings for their parents; parents do that for their children.
Williams’ Language of the People

It is now the third time that I have been ready to come to see you, and I will never ask you for financial support, for it is not your money but you yourselves that I want; for children are not by duty bound to lay up money for their parents, but parents for their children.
