One Another Commands

These are the requirements we find in the New Testament of what we are and are not to do and be "one to another." These are not options - nor are they law. They are simply commands from the Head to His body. Do them with the power, His grace, that He supplies.

...be at peace with one another.

Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another. ( Mk. 9:50; top )

...wash one another's feet.

If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. ( Jn. 13:14; top )

...love one another.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. ( Jn. 13:34-35; top )

There they are. Awesome in scope and responsibility. Just don't try these things during that "Sunday morning worship service" because then, according to the traditions of men that war against the Word of God, it's inappropriate for anyone to do any "one anothering" except that guy up front. Don't be fooled. You are responsible for obeying these commands whether the guy up front likes it or permits it or not! That guy up front will not be standing in your shoes on judgment day when God asks you what you did with the abundant truth of His Word which He put in front of you.
